PASADENA TEEN COURT

The Teen Court Program has been a success in over 20 locations around LA County. It is finally being brought to Pasadena and Pasadena High School has built a courtroom to accommodate the program. Teens accused of non-violent offenses (graffiti, theft, low level drug offenses, etc.) are given the opportunity to have their cases tried before a “jury of their peers”–local High School students. The jury deliberates with the limited guidance of an attorney “proctor” and renders a recommended verdict and sentence that the judge can impose.

The program will be supervised by Pasadena judge, Hon. Elaine Lu. The Pasadena Teen Court sessions will run from 3:30pm-4:30pm and 4:30pm-5:30pm on each day that they are scheduled.  Pasadena Teen Court sessions are currently scheduled for October 23, 2019, November 20, 2019, December 11, 2019, January 22, 2020, February 26, 2020, March 25, 2020, April 22, 2020, and May 20, 2020.
